Help & FAQs

Answers, grouped by what you're trying to do.

35 questions we get most. If yours isn't here, ask us — a person replies within one working day.

Ordering & artwork

Before you buy.

Do I need artwork ready?

No. Send whatever you have — a vector file, a PDF, a logo off your website, even a photo of a napkin — and our studio sets it up properly at no extra cost. If you have nothing at all, tell us what you want it to say and we'll draft something.

What file formats do you want?

Vector is best: AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. If you only have a raster file, send the largest version you have — 300dpi at final size prints cleanly. We will tell you honestly if a file is too small rather than printing something blurry.

Can I see it before you make it?

Always, on anything custom. You get a proof by email showing exactly what we intend to build, and nothing is cut, printed or bent until you approve it. Changes at that stage are free and unlimited.

Do you do bulk or trade pricing?

Yes. Most of the gift and print lines already have volume breaks built into the minimums. For larger runs or multi-site rollouts, ask us for a quote — we would rather price the actual job than have you buy the wrong thing five times.

Can I get a sample first?

For branded merchandise and print, usually yes — we can send a plain or pre-branded sample so you can feel the quality before committing to 500. Ask before you order.

Sizes, colours & options

Choosing between versions of the same thing.

How do I pick a size?

Products that come in more than one size show the options on the product page, with the price for each — a large is genuinely more expensive than a small, so nothing is hidden until checkout. If a size is greyed out, that combination is currently sold out.

The colour I want is unavailable — what now?

The picker greys out combinations we don't currently hold rather than hiding them, so you can see it exists. Most can still be made to order — contact us with the size and colour and we'll give you a lead time.

Will the colour match what I see on screen?

Closely, but not exactly. Every screen is calibrated differently and lit neon looks different in a dark room than a swatch does on a bright display. Treat the preview as accurate for shape, size and layout, and a good guide to colour. For a critical brand match, send us the Pantone or RAL reference.

Can I have a size that is not listed?

Nearly always. Fascia signs, light boxes and fabric displays are made to measure as standard; for the stocked lines, ask and we will quote. Custom neon is sized by you from the start.

GlowCast advertising box

Turning a TV you already own into a display.

What exactly is it?

A small box that plugs into any HDMI port. You load your images and video once, set a schedule, and the screen plays it from the moment it powers on — no laptop behind the counter, no USB stick to swap, nobody to remember.

Do I need a special screen?

No. Any TV or monitor with an HDMI port works, including one you already have on the wall. Commercial screens last longer if it will run twelve hours a day, but a domestic TV is a perfectly reasonable place to start.

How do I change what is playing?

From a browser, on your phone or a laptop, from anywhere. The box picks up the change the next time it checks in. With the five-pack you can push one campaign to every site at once, or a different one to each.

What happens if the internet drops?

It keeps playing the last schedule it downloaded. The content lives on the box, not in the cloud, so a flaky connection means a delayed update — not a black screen in your window.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. You buy the box and you own it. We would rather sell you hardware than rent you a dashboard.

Lead times & delivery

When it turns up.

How long does a custom sign take?

Roughly two weeks from the moment you approve your proof, plus shipping. The exact lead time shows on the configurator before you buy — and the clock starts at approval, not at payment, so a slow reply from you moves the date.

How long do stocked items take?

Dispatched in two to three working days. Anything marked "made to order" shows its own lead time on the product page.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and most of the EU as standard. If your country is not offered at checkout, ask us; we can usually arrange it.

Who pays import duty?

For deliveries outside the United States, any duty, VAT or customs handling fee is charged by your country and collected by the carrier before delivery. It is not included in what you pay us, and we cannot mark a parcel as a gift.

How do I track my order?

A tracking number is emailed when it ships. You can also enter your email at order tracking any time and we will send you a link — no account needed.

Installing & running it

Once it arrives.

Is it hard to put up?

Signs and light boxes come with fixings and a template. Banner stands and fabric displays go up in a couple of minutes with no tools. Fascia signs, channel letters and anything at height need a proper install — those are quoted with a survey.

Can I leave it on all the time?

Yes. LED neon draws about as much as a household bulb and is rated for 50,000 hours — roughly six years of continuous use. Everything dims, so what works at 6pm is not blinding at midnight.

Is it real neon?

No, and that is deliberate. It is LED silicone flex, which looks like glass neon but runs cool, survives shipping, dims, uses a fraction of the power and contains no gas or mercury.

Can I hang it outside?

Our standard neon build is indoor only. Outdoor light boxes, projecting signs and fascia are built weatherproof and rated IP65. If a piece is going outside, say so before ordering — the build is different.

Does it come with the right plug?

Yes. Tell us where it is going at checkout and the correct adapter goes in the box.

Returns, faults & warranty

When something is wrong.

Can I return a custom sign?

No — custom signs are made to your specification and cannot be resold, so they are non-returnable. That is exactly why we email you a proof and build nothing until you approve it. Ready-made items can be returned within 30 days.

What if it arrives damaged?

Send us a photo within 48 hours and we will remake it. That applies to custom pieces too: non-returnable means you cannot change your mind, not that you carry the cost of our mistakes or the courier's.

What is covered by warranty?

Electrical components are warranted for 12 months in normal indoor use. If a transformer or LED section fails in that period, we replace it. Damage from drops, over-tightened fixings, the wrong power supply or outdoor use of an indoor-rated piece is not covered.

I approved a proof with a typo on it.

Tell us immediately — if it has not gone into production we can still stop it. Once it is built, a re-make is chargeable, because the sign says exactly what was approved. This is the one thing worth thirty extra seconds at the proof stage.

Eco & materials

What things are actually made of.

What does the "Eco" badge mean?

That the material or process is genuinely lower-impact, and the product page says exactly how — bamboo instead of moulded plastic, recycled aluminium, home-compostable film certified to EN 13432. We do not badge something eco without stating why, because an unqualified claim is greenwashing.

Is LED neon better than glass neon?

Environmentally, yes: no mercury, no argon, a fraction of the power, and it survives shipping so far fewer are remade after transit damage.

Can I recycle a sign at end of life?

Partly. The acrylic and aluminium are recyclable, the LED flex and driver are electrical waste. Send it back to us and we will separate it properly rather than have it go in a skip.

Payment & currency

Paying for it.

Which currency am I charged in?

US, Australian and Canadian customers are priced directly in their own currency. Everywhere else, prices show in USD and your local currency appears at checkout.

Do I need an account?

No. Guest checkout is the default and always will be — you can look up an order later with just your email address.

Which cards do you take?

All major cards, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link, through Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Do you invoice on account?

For established trade customers and multi-site rollouts, yes. Get in touch with what you need and we will set it up — the storefront itself is card payment only.
