Trade show displays & pop up stands

Pop up frames, tension fabric backdrops and counters — built for the round trip, not just the photo.

Trade show displays & pop up stands: what to know

A trade show display has one job for about six hours: make someone walking past at three miles an hour slow down. That is a different problem from a shopfront sign, which is why the stands that work read from twenty feet with almost no words on them.

The constraint everyone underestimates is the round trip. Anything you take to a show gets built by tired people in a hall, packed at midnight, and thrown into a van. That is the argument for tension fabric over rigid panels — the graphic folds into a bag, washes when someone spills on it, and does not arrive with a crease down the middle the way rolled vinyl does.

Most stands come from the same handful of parts: a frame, a printed skin, a counter, and lighting. Send the organiser's floor plan and stand number rather than the dimensions you were quoted — a 3m inline and a 3m corner take completely different builds, and the difference is not obvious until the hardware arrives.

  • Pop up frames

Concertina to a wheeled case and up in ten minutes with two people.

  • Tension fabric

Folds without creasing, washes, and travels as luggage rather than freight.

  • Branded counters

Somewhere for staff to stand, storage underneath, and another surface carrying your name.

  • Reusable graphics

Keep dates and stand numbers off the artwork and the backdrop lasts all season.

Common questions

How far ahead should I order a trade show display?
Three weeks is comfortable for a full stand — room for a proof, a change of mind, and shipping. Individual banner stands move faster. Give us the show date, not the date you think we need.
Will it fit my booth?
Send the floor plan and stand number. Booth dimensions are quoted inconsistently between organisers, and inline versus corner changes what you can physically build.
Can I fly with an exhibition stand?
Fabric graphics fold into a case and travel as luggage. Frames and counters usually do not — most people ship the hardware and carry the fabric.
Do you print for hardware I already own?
Usually. Send photos of the frame and any part numbers. Pop up systems vary more than they look, so we confirm against the actual hardware before printing.

Not sure which is right? Ask us — we will tell you if the cheaper option is the better one for what you are doing.
